Democratic Party (DP) supporter Joseph Musitwa Ssalongo has gone to the High Court seeking for a temporary injunction restraining the party from proceeding with organizing its primaries in Bukoto Central Constituency seat.
Misitwa in his application wants Court to block primaries until the national examinations board UNEB announces its decision on a petition he filed for cancellation of ‘’A’’ Level certificate of a one Andrew Batemyetto Lukyamuzi.
Ssalongo says Lukyamuzi is a registered member of Democratic Party but that discovered later that his‘’A’’ Level certificates submitted to the party vetting committee was illegal.
That prompted him on 30th September 2015 to file a petition with Uganda National Examinations Board [UNEB] for cancellation of the same.

Kayihura is expected on Sunday in Mbarara town as chief runner at the marathon organized by police and the business community there.
The 10 km run will kick off in the morning at Booma grounds and end at Kakyeka stadium.
Mbarara District Police Commander Jaffar Magyezi told journalists that national and international companies have sponsored each kilometer that Gen. Kayihura will cover during the marathon.
Magyezi revealed that the marathon is hoped to collect Shs 2billion to facilitate the crime preventers in the district.
The collections will be used to buy uniforms for the crime preventers for proper identification and also to start up a Sacco to benefit them when providing security to the public.
“Much as these boys are doing a great job of providing security, prescription most of them keep asking us for something because we don’t pay them,” he said.
Top reggae artist Bebe Cool according to Magezi will be headlining the event, which will also attract athletes from neighboring Kenya.
Mbarara district is said to have over 270,000 crime preventers out of which according to Magezi, 100,000 will be taking part in the Sunday run.
