Presidential candidate John Katumba has promised to revitalize local ownership of businesses in Uganda once elected as President next year.
Katumba on Friday told supporters in Lugazi that once elected in power he will ensure that Ugandans take up all key business in the country.
“Here in Lugazi I see that most businesses are owned by foreigners but when I rise to power things will be different” he said.
“I don’t need financial support from Chinese because once I come in power it will be hard for me to drive them out of Lwera wetland and Namanve when they sponsored my campaigns.
Katumba is the youngest among all Presidential candidates.
Yesterday he held his campaigns in Lugazi, Buikwe and neighboring areas.
