Amb. Jhony Balza Arismendi of Venezuela said his country was eager to cooperate with Rwanda in bid to promote the South-South cooperation by pooling efforts to face common challenges.
Amb. John Moreti of Bostwana revealed that as the first Ambassador to represent his country in Rwanda, he would advocate for a forward looking, open relationship between Rwanda and Botswana.
India’s new envoy, Amb. Ramesh Chandra, said his country and Rwanda have enjoyed good relations for a long time, and that he would only “work to take the relations to another level by increasing and strengthening existing areas of cooperation.”
The new Pakistani Ambassador to Rwanda, Amb. Rafiuzzaman Siddiqui said he would propose that the two countries hold regular bilateral meetings to examine and strengthen areas of cooperation, while Amb. Arnout Pauwels of Belgium said the relations between Rwanda and Belgium are strong and profound and there is compatibility in the cooperation of the two nations.
He said that being the first commercial partner with Rwanda within the EU, Belgium would like to see business between the two nations improved and any kind of obstacles eradicated.
