The Minster in charge of information in Buganda Kingdom Mr. Noah Kiyimba has asked the people of Buganda to be calm as as authorities do their job in establishing the cause of fire that broke out at the Kasubi tombs
Addressing journalists during his visit to the tombs on Friday immediately after the incident, Kiyimba revealed that the Kabaka’s government is in full control of the situation.
“Police has already interviewed eyewitnesses and we expect them to come out with a report as soon as their investigations are done.” Kiyimba said
He revealed that the cultural materials which are kept in the burnt house have not been affected due to the swift response by the rescue team

The minister also noted that the ongoing renovation on ‘Muzibu azaalampanga’ has not been affected by the fire outbreak and its going to continue as programmed.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango said investigations are underway to establish the cause of the fire
In July 2010 the tombs (MuzibuAzaala Mpanga) where former Buganda kings were buried was completely burnt, an incident that cause chaos around the kingdom
No full report ever came out the people behind the arson.
The reconstruction process of these tombs started in 2014
