Kasiwukira Widow To Spend Christmas at Luzira

Makindye Grade One magistrate George Watyekere has adjourned the case in which three people are accused of murdering city businessman Sebunnya Eriya Bugembe alias Kasiwukira.

The adjournment followed request from the state prosecutor Mrs Beatrice Adongo asking court to give them ample time to finalize investigations into the alleged murder.

Defence lawyers Arthur Kirumira and Sadat Bbaale did not raise any objection to the state’s plea.

The three have been remanded back to Luzira up to January 13 when they will appear in court for mention of their case.

Prosecution alleges that on October 17, the trio and three others at large, at Diplomatic Zone, Muyenga, murdered Kasiwukira.

Several people have since stopped early morning jogging in Kampala after the tycoon was knocked dead by a car outside his home in a planned accident in October.

Kasiwukira had just started his routine physical fitness exercise in Muyenga suburb when the car which was parked near his plush residence hit him from behind.


The successful businessman and former music promoter’s head crashed on the tarmac. He died instantly.
