Kikabahenda Hope, the late’s mother, says that when it threatened to rain, she decided to send her daughter home to harvest rain water at around 3 pm but an hour later she was notified that her daughter had been hit by lightening.
According to eye witnesses, the deceased was caught by heavy rains before reaching home and decided to take shelter on the veranda of a one Arinda Apollo’s house, when the lightning struck once and killed her.
The deceased was found with a pair of sandals in her hands, the locals suggested that she might have removed them to wash off the mud hence becoming an easy target for the lightening.
She was a daughter of the late Twesime Micheal, former teacher of Butogota Trinity College, who too died under unclear circumstances when he was found lifeless in his friend’s room whom he had gone to visit three years ago.
The deceased will be buried today, Monday.
