Rev. Dan Zoreka, the Bishop of Kinkizi Diocese in Kanungu District has appointed Rev. Canon Kenneth Kanyankole as the new diocesan secretary.
Kanyankole contested for the Kinkizi East parliamentary seat in the 2011 general elections which he lost to Dr. Chris Baryomunsi.
At the time of his appointment, he has been working as the Dean of St Peters Cathedral Nyakatare in Kanungu District for the last 3 years.
He is to replace Rev Canon Bernard Bagaba who retired on 19th December 2018.
Meanwhile, Bishop Zoreka announced that although Rev Bagaba was retiring, he will become a Bishops Commiserate to run the duties of the Bishop whenever he is absent in the diocese.
He hailed the outgoing Diocesan Secretary for the 42 years he has served the Church of Uganda rising from a Youth Worker to the top position of Diocesan Secretary.
