Kampala Police Arrest Boda Boda Killer Captured On CCTV Camera

Kampala metropolitan police has Wednesday afternoon announced the arrest of one of the suspects captured while killing a Boda Boda rider in Kakeeka Mengo.

“The suspect in the gruesome murder of a motorcyclist (Boda boda) seen on CCTV Footage that circulated widely has been arrested, said Kampala Metropolitan Spokesman Patrick Onyango.

According to police the suspect was arrested last night at Nsiike1, Ndeeba Rubaga division in Kampala.

“The suspect is identified as Mugisha John Bosco allias Mukiga Mugisha. He admits that he is the one in the video with his colleague called Young Mullo, but not the musician,” Onyango said.

It is said that the suspect has also confessed that Young Mullo was killed by a mob on 3/7/2019 on suspicion that he had stolen a motorcycle.

Sources revealed to this investigative website how Young Mullo was killed.

According to the source, On the fateful night, the suspects had gone to a bar located in Makindye and tried to hire a Boda boda, but the prostitutes who operate from the bar insisted that the rider should not carry the two men.

It is at this moment when the prostitutes told the riders that the two men were killers who had been captured on CCTV camera while committing murder.

Police said that Mugisha also admitted that they had robbed a motorcycle from Mityana on 2/7/2019 and they were traced to Makindye in Kampala where the mob killed his colleague.

Mugisha alleged that he escaped that day and went to Kabale district.

He also said he has been arrested several times and has been to Luzira Prison many times on cases of robbery.

Mugisha and his colleague murdered Derick Mulindwa, a resident of Nabweru in Nansana Municipality on 30/6/2019 from Kakeeka Mengo in Kampala.

The suspect is currently detained at Katwe police station pending transfer to old Kampala Police Station.
