Kampala Metropolitan Police is investigating circumstances under which security dogs attacked and bit a woman to death.
The incident happened in Makindye Sabagabo on Saturday at the residence of a one David Wakabi.
The victim was identified as Agnes Mirembe, 44, a house help at Wakabi’s.
On the fateful day, Mirembe is said to have woken up at about 5:30am to do her daily chores, but four dogs that appeared from nowhere attacked her from the compound tearing her to pieces.
Police spokesperson Fred Enanga said that they have arrested two men to help in investigations.
He added that they will charge them with negligence because they did not lock the dogs in their Kennel on time.
He said they are also working to establish whether the dogs were registered by KCCA animal control department before further action is taken.
Enanga cautioned members of the public that majority of dog bite cases registered in Uganda are from unregistered dogs and advised all dog owners to register them with the authorities.
