Kabarole: RDC Intervenes As Clinical Students Strike

Kabarole RDC Steven Asimwe has grilled administrators at the Fort Portal School of Clinical Officers (SOCO) over continued deterioration of students’ performance in the Uganda Allied Health Examinations (UAHE).

The aggrieved students claim the school academic performance has declined since 2014 due to a poor and incompetent administration.

The students accused their Principal Nassali Rose and the Bursar Joseph Ssempebwa of usurping all the powers and authority of other administrators.

The administrators are also accused of allowing students from TEAM University to study at their campus every weekend illegally, saying they have become a security threat.

The tension at the school on Monday afternoon forced the RDC Mr. Asiimwe, the DHO Dr. Richard Mugahi and OC Station Fort Portal Geoffrey Muyamba to rush there and intervene in their matter.

During the meeting the RDC grilled the administrators to explain the messes but the Principal Nassali Rose in her defense denied their involvement and pushed the blame to UAHEB the examining body.

The RDC and DHO appealed the students to come back for lectures as they meet the staff and school council but the students insisted that there must be restructuring of Administration.
