Kabale University Guild President Sworn in After 7 Months

The 5th Guild President of Kabale University as a Public University was sworn in today.

Godfrey Niwamanya was elected to the guild on March 17th 2020 but was unable to take oath as all education institutions were shut down days later because of Covid19.

The swearing in event today was presided over by Prof. Benon Basheka, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs) who represented the Vice Chancellor.

Speaking at the event, Prof Basheka thanked the outgoing students’ government for executing their duties diligently on behalf of the University Management.

He also called upon the incoming student leaders to work toward boosting student innovation and also warned them against amending the guild constitution to suit their interest.

On his part, the new guild boss thanked Evelyn Natukunda, the outgoing Guild President for having successfully completed her term with no student strikes which are common in other Universities.
