Kabale University Guild Leaders Sworn In Amid Warning Against Violence  

Evelyn Natukunda Byereta, a second year Education student was on Saturday sworn in as the 17th Guild President of Kabale University.

Ms Naturinda, who becomes the university’s second female guild boss was sworn in along with Christopher Agaba as her vice president, Angello Twinomuhangi as Prime Minister, Winfred Namusoke as Deputy Prime Minister, Salumu Munduwabo as minister of finance, among others.

At the event, Prof Joy Constance Kwesiga the Kabale University Vice chancellor while officiating at the handover and swearing in of the Guild and GRC, advised students and their new leaders to always seek dialogue to avoid creating rift between them and the management.

She said that being in leadership is not just taking positions but a service that involves dialogue.

On her part, Natukunda called upon the students to use her office pleading full support to give the university a good image.

Francis Bbale, the outgoing guild president, thanked the student body for voting for him in 2018, and added that his one year in leadership has given him a chance to serve and contribute to the university’s status.
