A 15 year old boy was on Monday morning beaten to death at one of the orphanage homes in Kabale owned by a Swedish national.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi regional Police spokesman identifies the deceased as Alvin Agaba, a resident of Ruhita cell in Kabale Municipality.
Police preliminary investigations show that Agaba was arrested by bodaboda cyclists who took him to Emma and Theresa Children’s Project, where the gatekeeper opened for them and they beat him to death.
The Orphanage that looks after street children and orphans is located on Rugarama road and is owned by Emma Cox,a Swedish national.
Maate says the gateman, one Johnson Twinamatsiko, working with Kombozi Security Company and the orphanage patron Boaz Naturinda have been arrested.
He says the duo did not say anything or alert anyone since 5am when the murder was committed, until mid-morning when orphanage director Emma Cox woke up to find a dead body in the compound.
The body has since been taken to Kabale hospital mortuary for post mortem.
