Kabale: NGO Fundraises for Shs5.5 billion Children’s Hospital



Vulnerable Children Surgeries Africa (VCSA), an NGO operating in Kabale district has launched a drive to raise 5.5 billion Shillings for the construction of a Specialized Children Surgery Hospital in Kabale.

The facility will be built in Kaharo Sub County in the south western district, where children with birth defects will be operated from.

Emmanuel Twebaze, the NGO Director says the hospital will mainly accommodate children from poverty stricken families.

On Sunday, the organization held a charity football match at Kabale Municipal stadium that was between the Asian community living in Kabale District and the Kabale Business Community.

The game was part of the 1000Campaign, in which a total of Shs six million Ugandans will be asked to contribute Shs 1000 each toward the cause.

Shs 1.5million was raised at the football match which was won 1-0 by Asian business community.
