Kabale Court Orders Deportation Of 47 Rwandese, 10 Congolese

The Kabale Grade one magistrates court has ordered for the immediate deportation of 47 Rwandese and 10 Congolese who illegally crossed into Uganda.

Kabale resident state attorney Anthony Wamibu told court presided over by Isaac Rukundo that on January 4th 2021, the accused persons entered Uganda using two buses; UAS 290Y of Jussy bus company and UAQ 545 T belonging of Malayika bus company

These were intercepted in Kabale town, after police got intelligence about illegal entrants who did not have valid travel documents.

Wamibu asked court to have all the suspects, who were mostly youths, deported adding that their motive to enter the country was not known.

Magistrate Rukundo convicted all suspects and sentenced to a caution   after they pleaded guilty to charges of entering into Uganda without valid travel documents.

He then ordered that the convicted persons must be deported back to their respective countries immediately.
