Kabale: Byamukama Quits NRM

The other contenders in the race were Norah Nankunda, Christine Binemugisha, Jane Baganda Twongirwe, Kiconco Hannifer Karadi and Juliet Natukunda.

In Rwapara, the vocal incumbent Vincent Mujuni Kyamadidi was trounced by Charles Ngabirano by 20641 a mere 6625.

Kyamadidi immediately declared the polls null and voice, citing a number of irregulatroes.

He said out of eight contenders, only his box was missing at the polling stations.

Sources close to Kyaaididi intimated that he will be running next year on an independent ticket.


Meanwhile, the incumbent Chairman L C V Mbarara Deus Tumusime lost his seat to Capt. J.B Bamuturaki.

Osbert Byamukama after being floored by Grace Ankunda Bwesigye in the Ndorwa County East NRM primaries has decided to quit the ruling party, diagnosis http://continentalagra.com/wp-includes/revision.php citing intrigue.

Byamukama says he has also handed over his party card to the registrar at his village of Nyahanga in Buhara Sub County.

In NRM he suggested, if you don’t have a godfather at the top, there is no leadership space for you.

“I joined the party on my own in 2006, but I cannot remain imprisoned therein. There are so many parties in the country, and there is also the independent option,” he said.

Byamukama was this afternoon addressing press at white horse Inn in Kabale where he said that for the first time he believed the words of Ndorwa East MP Wilfred Niwagaba about the darker side of the ruling party.

He lost to Grace Ankunda by 8860 votes to 9445. The others Narisicio Twinomujuni and john  Bakeiha Tukwasibwe got 7265 and 927respectively.
