A Kabale based businessman was last evening (Monday) kidnapped by unknown assailants, murdered and his body dumped along Kabale Katuna highway in Kitumba Sub County.
The deceased, Paddy Amanya was a resident of Bugongi in the Northern Division of Kabale Municipality.
He run a shop behind Centenary Bank on Muhumuza road.
Anna Tumushabe, his widow says Amanya came home from work at around 4pm, picked Shs 1.5million which he said was for one of their saving association members, Barbra.
She says he left and then came back home a few moments later with their children who were from school, and then left again, but never returned.
After waiting for his husband’s return the whole night in vain, Tumushabe woke up at 6am today to report a case of a missing person at Kabale Police Station.
At the station, she says she was told by one police officer about an unidentified person who was found by a night police patrol team killed in Kitumba and his body was taken to Kabale regional referral hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
On showing her the photos, she confirmed that it was her missing husband.
