Kabale Brainstorm High School has been closed indefinitely and all 1400 students sent home following a violent strike on Wednesday morning.
The students went on rampage today after complaining for days about the little porridge they get at the kitchen.
These started exchanging with the cooks, drug before the situation spiraled out of control, compelling the teachers to call in the police.
Some of the students were unhappy with the administration’s failure to give them uniform which they paid for at the start of the term.
The students surrounded the administration block where the head cook and some teachers were hiding and started hurling rocks at it, until police arrived and dispersed them with teargas.
Erasmus Habasa the director of the school says that the confusion was brought a few indisciplined students.
Elly Maate the Kigezi regional police spokesman says that the school had been closed and all students were sent back home to report back on 4th May 2017.
