Prominent Muslim leader and head of Dawa in Uganda Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata has died.
Muzaata passed away at International Hospital Kampala (IHK) where he has been admitted.
Muzaata has been hospitalized with an undisclosed illness, which fellow Muslim leaders described as “normal”.
His ill-health sparked a lot of speculation, with some claiming he had been poisoned while others suggested it was Covid19.
As Muslim leader, Muzaata became prominent for his barbed and fearless comments and attacks on different people including fellow Muslim leaders, the Prime Minister of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga, former KCCA Director Jennifer Musisi, several politicians, musicians among others.
