President Yoweri Museveni has appointed Esta Nambayo as the new Chief Registrar replacing Justice Paul Gadenya Wolimbwa, who was elevated to the position of High Court Judge
The president’s appointment is contained in a letter dated 7th August which he addressed to Justice Benjamin Kabiito the chairperson for Judicial Service Commission
The Chief Registrar who is assisted by a management team of Registrars, heads the technical branch consisting of judicial activities of the organization.
“In the exercise of powers vested in the President by Article 145 (2) of the constitution, I hereby appoint M/s Esta Nambayo as Chief Registrar court of judicature”
Today, Monday the commission wrote to Her Worship Nambayo informing her of her new appointment
“By copy of the letter, the Permanent Secretary for the judiciary and Permanent secretary to Judicial service commission are requested to attend to the administrative and other formalities required to formalize this appointment” ays the letter
Her worship Nambayo was a Makindye Chief magistrate who was later promoted to Acting Registrar and recently she was elevated as a full Registrar in charge of Court of Appeal
