Joseph Kabuleta’s File Ready – Police

Police has on Monday said that it had finalized the preparation of the criminal charge file of Joseph Kabuleta.

Kabuleta a former sports analyst was arrested in Kampala by police detectives on grounds of offensive communication.

According to police, the journalist turned pastor was arrested for viciously attacking the President and government programs such as operation wealth creation among others.

Addressing the press at Police headquarters in Naguru, spokesman Fred Enanga said that the detectives at Special Investigations Unit in Kireka throughout the weekend interrogated him about the offences.

He revealed that the law enforcement body has today forwarded his file to the directorate of public prosecutions for perusal and advice.

“From there, we shall be advised whether to arraign him in courts of law or see if the charges are to be dropped,” Mr Enanga said.

Police maintains that Kabuleta repeatedly posted offensive messages under his write ups ” Kabuleta weekly rant returns” on Facebook referring to the president as a gambler and liar.

Mr Enanga also maintains that section 25 of the computer misuse act criminalizes such acts of offensive communication.

“Therefore we treat such communication by Mr Kabuleta as attacks especially to the person of President,” he said.

Kabuleta is also the founder of watchman ministries and author.
