Singer Dr. Jose Chameleone has accused Steven Serunkuma commonly known as Hypeman of conning people millions of shillings under false pretense.
According to the “Wale Wale” songster, Hypeman has been masquerading as his manager and conning event’s organizers their money while promising them that Chameleone would perform at their events.
Chameleone revealed that the first incident took place in 2017 when Hypeman received a ransom of Shs 3M from the event organizers of Bayimba festival which forced him to perform at the festival so as to guard his reputation.
However, his luck ran out recently when he received another Shs 3M from Equity Bank and issued to them a forged receipt.
The administrators of the bank quickly alerted Chameleone who later on reported the issue to Police. It is believed that Hypeman is now on the run.
The Leone Island boss took to his Facebook page on Monday this week informing his fans to report Hypeman to the police in case any one of them sets eyes on him as he is now on the Police Wanted List.
The singer’s wife Daniella has also joined the hunt for Hypeman as she was seen posting on her Instagram requesting her fans to report to police if they see him.
“This man Serunkuma Steven, popularly known as HYPE is wanted for masquerading as @jchameleonmanager and conning lots of individuals and institutions off their money, and even issuing fake receipts ,latest victim being equity bank.BE WARE”. Daniella posted.
