Jinja SS Win Busoga Regional Post Primary Championship

Jinja Secondary School successfully defended their regional title and also sealed a berth at this year’s national post primary schools championship.

The mighty school defeated Agape SS 2-0 in the finals played at Kaliro High School in Kaliro District on Saturday.

A brace from Ibrahim Sajjabi ensured Jinja SS who are also the reigning national champions reclaimed the Busoga regional title.

Jinja SS did it in style scoring in every other game(11 goals in 5 games) while conceding just once on the other side.

In the group stage, Jinja SS defeated Kibale SS and Jinja Comprehensive 2-0 and 1-0 respectively before outwitting Valley Hill from Kaliro 5-0 at the quarterfinals.

In the Semis, Jinja SS revenged against Jinja Progressive Academy(JIPRA) who beat them in the Jinja district finals.

Jinja SS will be joined by Agape SS, Town View College and Jinja Progressive Academy as the teams that will represent Busoga region in Mbarara next month.

To win their maiden national championship,Jinja SS defeated St.Mary’s Kitende on spot kicks after normal time had ended in a one all draw at Masaka Recreation Ground.
