Jean Seninde Joins Wakefield Trinity Ladies
Uganda Crested Cranes defender Jean Seninde returns to professional football, joining Wakefield Trinity Ladies in the English Regional League.
Seninde signed a one-year renewable contract with Trinity Ladies, a development that was confirmed via the club’s official social media platforms last evening.
“27 year old Ugandan international Jean Seninde, the former QPR and Crystal Palace defender Jean Seninde has joined Trinity. The ‘Crested Crane’ has previously played at FA Women’s National League level and is a show intent by Wakefield,” read the statement.
Seninde whose football career was potentially ruined by constant injuries, spending two years without a club and only being restricted to football management.
Currently, she serves as the Executive Director for the Seninde Foundation that aims at discovering and mentoring female soccer talent in Uganda.
Her new home, Wakefield Trinity Ladies previously entered into partnership with the Seninde Foundation to Forster the growth and development of women Football in Uganda.
Coached by Jordan Hartley, the Trinity Ladies currently play in the North East Regional Women’s Football League and the Women’s FA Cup.
Seninde also previously featured for London Phoenix Ladies and Charlton Athletics Ladies Women Football Teams.
The starlet was part of the Crested Cranes team that finished 4th in the 2016 CECAFA Women’s Cup tournament hosted at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.
