Deputy Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah has dismissed “pure nonsense” media reports that emerged this week that he was hospitalized.
The reports that spread widely on social media, indicated that Oulanyah had been flown out of the country and that he was “battling for his life.”
The deputy speaker however, told ChimpReports in a message that he was in no form of danger, and that the reports were fake news.
“(That’s) fake news being propagated in Parliament,” he said.
“I am in Germany but I don’t even have flu. They even said I might have breathed my last. Pure nonsense.”
Oulanyah did not tell us what business he is handling in Germany.
However, this is the second time he has traveled to the European nation in a few months.
He was there in September last year for the 1st Uganda-German International Business Convention, which took place in the capital Berlin.
