Jamaican artist Mr. Vegas has assured of his support to the Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, should he decide to contest for Presidency in Uganda’s 2021 elections.
Mr. Vegas who was reacting to Bobi Wine’s meeting with Rev. Jackson, a civil rights activist in the US, whom he revealed that his example of soldiering on through trials and tribulations in the quest for freedom, justice and equal opportunity, has inspired him to do the same for his country, Uganda and the entire African continent.
The ‘Bruck it down’ singer pledged to fully support Bobi Wine saying, he will come and help in the campaigns when time comes.
‘’I will come and campaign for you when you are ready bro! Africa Stand Up! This is the future! I met this man! He could have stuck to his music & watch our people suffering continue. The sacrifice is real,’’ posted Mr. Vegas.
Bobi Wine was recently in Jamaica for the ‘Rebel Salute Festival’ where he performed at the two day Reggae, Ragga and Dancehall event which saw him rub shoulders with Jamaican music royalty and earned their respect for his vision and goals.
While in Jamaica, the musician turned politician, was very vocal on the role of reggae music in pushing his agenda, saying it has helped him fight against colonial afflictions while growing up in the ghettos of Uganda to date.
