After a successful engagement with musician Chris Evans Kaweesi over his hit song titled ‘Zaake’ on Monday, Mityana Municipality Member of Parliament Hon Francis Zaake Butebi says he is currently looking for Gerald Kiwewa.
In his post, after meeting Evans and handing him a heavy Khaki envelope, Zaake asked those close to Kiwewa to inform him that he needs to meet him so they can discuss a number of issues.
“Kati bambi abali okumpi n’omuyimbi Gerald Kiweewa, mumungambile nti naye mmunoonya tunyumyeemu,” reads part of message which translates to “those close to Gerald Kiwewa should notify him that I am looking for him, we need to have a chat.”
Gerald Kiwewa has recently been scooping lots of headlines in the local media due to his song ‘Nantaba’.
Kiwewa was recently detained at Kireka Special Investigations Unit on charges of disturbing the peace of Kayunga Member of Parliament Hon Aida Nantaba. He was later released on police bond alongside the ‘Bizonto’ comedians who had been locked up for promoting sectarianism.
However, Nantaba denied having dragged Kiwewa to Police saying that she had no copyright to the name, adding that she had no problem with a musician using his creativity to earn a living.
