Team No Sleep (TNS) singing diva Sheebah Karungi is considered the best female musician in Uganda for the past five years and counting. However, the ‘Nkwatako’ hit maker has shockingly revealed that she did not want to become a singer.
Sheebah made this ironic revelation weeks back on veteran singer Juliana Kanyomozi’s television/talk show on YouTube; The Sit down With Yana series about women empowerment.
While discussing her career, Sheebah told Juliana that she never wanted to be a singer when she was starting her career as an entertainer in 2006 aged sixteen (16).
Sheebah stated that her dream was to become a professional dancer dancing for American singer, songwriter and dancer Beyonce Knowles. “At fifteen I was a dancer. I left home started dancing at 16, joined Stingerz in 2006 and I was as excited as it was every girls’ dream to watch or work with these girls. It was never about the singing to be honest” Sheebah is quoted saying.
The TNS Queen went to reveal how she had even enrolled for dancing lessons with her friend identified as Angel who taught her how to dance back then.
Angel is the girl modeling in Sheebah’s ‘Akuse’ video and the two have been friends for twelve years now.
