Brigadier General Wasswa Kasirye Ggwanga has defended himself against reports that he attacked local Musician Moses Ssali in one of his recent interviews.
While appearing on one of his weekly radio talk shows last evening, Kasirye said that he has been hearing the allegations, but denied them.
The General blamed the act of attacking musicians on stage and advised that all those who were arrested for pelting bottles at Bebe Cool are canned.
“The President decided to choose Bebe Cool from the many Ugandans to be his representative, so u have to treat him with respect,” he said.
Attacking Bebe Cool, he said was publically undermining President’s representative.
Kasirye Ggwanga was quoted in his recent interviews saying he didn’t know Bebe cool in person and that he didn’t know much about his music.
This was followed by numerous video clips which created public debate on various social media platforms.
“Who is Bebe cool and how can he help the NRM to mobilize for votes, those are just idiots and stupid people who can’t attract masses” Ggwanga quoted in one of the videos
In response to this, Bebe cool revealed that although he has never met Kasirye , he respect him as an elder and thus advised him against some direct questions asked during interviews.
