I Don’t Work For Votes – Sheema Woman MP

As 2016 elections draw closer, more about http://davepallone.com/wp-admin/includes/class-language-pack-upgrader-skin.php Sheema Woman Member of Parliament, dosage Hon. Rosemary Nyakikongoro has advised her voters not to think that all her works are inspired by the fact that she is looking for votes.

Speaking to ChimpReports over the weekend, after delivering sewing machines to women groups in Kyarushakara Parish Kitagata Sub County, Nyakikongoro said that as she performs her duty of delivering services to the electorates in her area, many people tend to think that she is doing so because elections are around the corner.

“I have a problem with electorates who think that all I do is because I am looking for votes. I think they are just mistaken. As a leader, I am supposed to serve my people from the day they put me into power to the last day. When time for electioneering comes, I will have time for campaigns and I will of course lobby for their support which I urgently need,” said Nyakikongoro.

While delivering the machines, Nyakikongoro challenged men to appreciate the contribution made by women in the socio-economic transformation of their societies.

“You men should stop underrating women for they are powerful machinery in transformation of our society. Most of you command them to keep at home which limits their potential in different spheres of life. It’s high time you left them to engage in outside activities that develop our homes,” Nyakikongoro said.

The legislator has exhibited incredible commitment to the well being of women in her constituency by starting various skilling projects.
