I bleached – Salma Nassanga Opens up on Love, Sudhir & Mujib

The Minister for Local Government has finally intervened in the wrangles between top Fort Portal Municipality leaders and the councilors who had locked horns over illegally constructed lock-ups at Mpanga market.

The council recently directed the Town Clerk to write to the Minister of Local Government, approved http://deltaalphapihonorsociety.org/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php Hon Adolf Mwesige requesting him to intervene in the conflict between the municipal leaders and the councilors.

The councilors were accusing Mayor, stomach Edison Asaba Ruyonga and Eastern Division Chairperson, Willy Snob Magezi for allegedly breaching council resolutions and fraud.

During a council sitting on 30th May 2014, it was resolved that all activities at the Mpanga Market relocation site be halted until the municipality finalizes a swapping deal with the National Forest Authority (NFA) in which the forests body would offer them its disputed Land at Mpanga Market so that they construct a taxi park in exchange for the municipalities land at Mwenge.

However Ruyonga and Magezi are reported to have gone ahead and mobilized vendors to construct illegal structures in which to operate their businesses, a move councilors said was unlawful.

In a reconciliation meeting with Minister Adolg Mwesige, attended by Mayor Ruyonga, Fort Portal MP Alex Ruhunda, Chairman Magezi, vendors and councilors held on Friday at Musisa Hall at Boma Grounds, the two conflicting parties agreed to work together.

The councilors concurred with the decision to construct lock ups at Mpanga New Taxi Park but warned that proper procedures must be followed to avoid future misunderstandings.

The resolution came after Magezi convinced the minister that he had documents from the NFA permitting his division to put the temporary structures on the said land.


Magezi further said the construction of the temporary lockups in Mpanga New Taxi Park was aimed at curbing the congestion a long Kampala road and to increase local revenue to the Division and Municipal Council.

The Minster strongly warned both parties against rivalry and urged them to work together for the development of their town.

Salma has been in the tabloids one too many a time for various reasons like having a secret relationship with tycoon, Sudhir Ruparelia. She however  insisted that this allegation was not true and that she has never eaten Sudhir’s money except for the Miss Uganda money.

In the same interview, the former beauty queen set records straight by saying that though Mujib Kasule is a good man, he is just a friend as opposed to what the tabloids reported. She also said that her and Mujib just didn’t connect and so they did not date.

Salma also revealed that she is soon introducing her Nigerian boyfriend to her parents. She further said that though her father is Senegalese, the ‘kukyala’ will be in Uganda because she is Ugandan. As she said this, she was all smiles and revealed to the interviewer that she is madly in love with the Ogha.

Salma also tackled the rumors that she had bleached her skin to fight ageing. To this, the obviously bleached Salma said that it is her right to do to her skin whatever she finds necessary. She added that it makes her comfortable and she is not apologetic.

When asked whether she believes in marriage, Salma answered in the affirmative. She said that every girl should dream of being married but stay independent. She advises all women to work hard for their money and not to entirely depend on the man for everything.
