Whereas Big Brother fanatics are sad that they have no reality show to keep them entertained throughout the day, approved http://dayacounselling.on.ca/wp-content/plugins/ultimate_vc_addons/params/ultimate_icon_manager_param.php several others are happy as they are no longer guessing who the winner of Season 9 is.

In a very suspense filled finale, Idris, the 21-year-old Tanzanian photographer was announced winner, being crowned ‘The Hotshot’ and walking away with the grand prize of USD300, 000.

This makes Idris, the second Tanzanian to be the winner of Big Brother Africa and take home the prize money after Richard Bezuidenhout won the 2007 edition and was crowned winner of Big Brother season 2.

The young Tanzanian photographer played his game as the house’s player and lover man, a strategy that saw him get flirty and have romantic flings with some girls in the house including our own Ellah and Botswana’s Goitse.

Where as many viewers across Africa thought he is an emotional immature boy that does not know what he wants, Idris must have known his strategy would pay off.

Idris beat Nigeria’s Tayo to the jackpot in a suspense filled finale. Tayo who was Africa’s favourite for the biggest part of the show was the drama making housemate who fought with almost every male housemate and was never afraid to say what was on his mind. He was dubbed the ‘entertainer’ of the house.

Idris received five country votes and these were from Kenya, Namibia, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda. The runner-up, Tayo, received two country votes and these were from Nigeria and Mozambique. Several Ugandan celebrities including local musician, Jose Chameleone sought votes for the Tanzanian calling upon their fans to vote for him so that the money can come to East Africa.

When asked what he would do with the money, Idris said he would it give back to Africa, to which IK, the show’s host teased him to be exact with his promises.

In the final moment before announcing the winner, the two finalists, Nigeria’s Tayo and Idris were brought through in a limousine and while on stage with IK waiting to hear which one of them will be crowned this season’s winner, they both watched their final video of the 63 days in the house.

Idris who was the lover man in the house seems to have charmed not only the women of the house but the entire continent of Africa. Idris is now USD300 000 richer. Both Tayo and Idris have been called winners sine Tayo played an amazing game but Idris was the ultimate winner and there is much joyous celebration.
