Often times, we have seen several music tours all over the regions of Uganda including Eastern, Northern and Western among others.
These tours are normally meant to identify new talents in different regions, nurture and help them achieve though not their desired goals, but at least uplift them to where they can stand for themselves and shine in whatever they do.
Renowned DJ Selector Jay while speaking at the launch of the ‘Johnnie walker Highball Tour’ on Thursday 19 assured fans that this time around the highball tour will be the best thing ever to happen to local talents.
“We will be supporting local talents in every region we go. Our aim is to put these young artists to comfortable zone which we believe will make them rise to the top.”
He later on called on singer big trill to perform, saying he wasn’t just talking about the platform helping upcoming talents but wanted to prove to them.
Big Trill upon stepping on stage, applauded the brains behind the tour before entertaining guests with the performances of his sound tracks including ‘Parte after Parte’ hit, the Crowd’s favorite among others.
The rest of the night was later on taken by Selector Jay himself, who proved yet again that he is without doubt Uganda’s best DJ.
He took guests on cloud nine, spinning some of his epic DJ mixes that had many on their feet.
The tour will give an opportunity to whisky fans all over the country to have a close and personal experience as they will be able to experience the Highball for the first time.
It will be kick-starting earlier next month in Mbale with singer Sheebah Karungi lined up as the first act for the highly anticipated Highball experience.
Speaking at the launch, Roger Agamba, the International Premium Spirits Brand Manager at Uganda Breweries Limited explained that the new Johnnie Walker Highball serve is a fun new way to consume whisky the better way.
“The Johnnie Walker Highball Tour is one of the many experiences we have designed and are committed to bring to our consumers this year, we want to show you that you can still be young, vibrant and playful even with Johnnie Walker,” said Agamba.
The tour officially kicks off on October 5 in Mbale, followed by Gulu on October 26. Fort Portal, Mbarara and Masaka are the other towns lined up for the ultimate Highball experience.
