The former minister of Health in the government of Gen. Tito Okello Lutwa and three of his family members were finally laid to rest on Saturday at their ancestral in Madi Opei in Lamwo district.

They had returned to the country to celebrate the New Year only to die when the vehicle Toyota Super custom brand car they had hired from Kampala had a tyre burst.

The car overturned several times. The driver reportedly survived before being rushed to the hospital together with other survivors.


The burial in Lamwo was attended by thousands of grief-struck mourners including the Aruu County Member of Parliament, Odonga Otto.
