Gulu University management, Members of Parliament and local leaders on Friday broke ground for the construction of a multi-billion-shilling business development complex
According to Professor Opejuru George Ladaa, the Gulu University Vice Chancellor, the business complex will comprise of 4 floors with 11 lecture rooms, computer labs, mini auditoria among others.
Professor Openjuru says the complex will be constructed at a cost of 35 billion Uganda shillings and it is fully funded by Government of Uganda.
Speaking at the ground breaking, Martin Ojara Mapenduzi, Gulu district Chairperson said Gulu district has already given the University the permission to develop the land where their main campus stands that used to be Gulu farm institute.
The construction of the business complex is expected to take four years and will be done by CHICO, a Chinese construction company end.
