Six people have been confirmed dead and five others rushed to Gulu Hospital in critical condition following the nasty accident that happened today at Tochi swamp along Gulu Kampala highway.
According to Jimmy Patrick Okema the Aswa Region Police Spokesperson, the motor vehicle registration number UBD 227C, Noah knocked two motorcycles carrying passengers on UEF 224A and UDK 215S.
He added that the accident which happened before crossing Karuma bridge left six people dead on the spot, with three being women and the other three men.
Okema added that the 7th person was pronounced dead in Gulu hospital where he was rushed in a critical condition bringing the total number of death to seven.
He attributed the cause of accident to reckless driving saying four other victims are still nursing injuries in Gulu hospital.
Okema however says police has embarked on finding the identities of the deceased and those still in the hospital.
Police removed the wreckage of the Noah car and the two motorcycles to allow traffic flow and investigation is on to establish what exactly caused the deadly accident.
He cautioned the Bodaboda riders not to carry over 3 passengers on a motorcycle adding that each motorcycle involved in the accident was carrying four Passengers.
