Newly appointed Tooro United head coach Edward Golola has pledged to make the club a model club through wholeheartedly working to restore its First division status.
Speaking during his team’s technical bench unveiling ceremony at Tavern woods in Kabuusu on Wednesday, the former Vipers tactician promised to take back the club to the Uganda Premier League.
“We want to make Tooro United FC a model club famous for nurturing young talents. I am confident that my working team will deliver the results. Personally, I am a winner and will ensure that we win every game in our midst,” Golola said.
His backroom staff has Simon Ddungu as the assistant coach, Moses Oloya (goalkeeping coach), Jamada Magaasi (fitness coach) and Fred Kasendeke as the junior team head coach.
The unveiling ceremony was graced by the Fort Portal City Member of Parliament Alex Ruhunda, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Richard Epieru and the club president Alice Namatovu.
Tooro United which was positioned 16th on the UPL log by the time the season was abruptly ended due to the Coronavirus pandemic, was relegated to the FUFA Big League.
