Uganda Premier League side Mbarara City Football Club has officially unveiled lanky goalkeeper Martin Elungat.
Elungat has joined the Ankole Lions on a one-year contract and is guaranteed to feature at the Kakyeka based club until the climax of 2020/2021 season end.
He comes in as a replacement for departed Tom Ikara who recently signed for Police FC and will provide competition to first choice custodian, Muhammad Ssekkeba.
Elungat comes with vast experience having previously played for defunct Fire Masters, Sports Club Villa, KCCA FC, Express, Muhoroni Youth, Thika United and Zoo Kericho.
He becomes the 5th club signing of the window joining former SC Villa forward Bashir Mutanda, Ronald Edwok, Godfrey Kalungi and defender Ramathan Kareem.
Mbarara City also welcomed back Samali Farouk after successfully completing his loan spell at FUFA Big League entity Kigezi HomeBoyz where he featured last season.
Pistis Barenge, Jude Ssemugabi, Muhammad Ssekeba, Soulyamane Bamba, Stephen Othieno, and Swalik Bebe Segujja are the players whose respective contracts were renewed by the club.
