American legendary RnB singer Ginuwine, who performed in Kampala last night at Speke Resort Munyonyo, on Friday afternoon, revealed that he was interested in working with the duo Radio & Weasel.
This was after he listened to a few of their songs after arriving in the country on Thursday night.
Upon listening to the duo’s music, Ginuwine picked interest in working with them.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday at Mestil Hotel in Nsambya, the ‘Differences’ singer said he saw the duo’s song on a local television and liked them.
“I have gotten a chance to watch a few Ugandan songs in my hotel room and there is this one in particular that caught my eyes. There were two young boys; one smaller with a tender voice while the other was a rapper. They were singing alongside a poolside in white (juicy juicy)” he said.
When asked about what he thought about the musicians, Ginuwine said he would like to collaborate with them before he leaves.
“I would like to collaborate with them and a couple more that I will come to know about,” he said.
Ginuwine was however shocked to learn that Radio, one of the two singers had passed on earlier this year to a bar brawl in Entebbe.
“Unfortunately Radio died,” said Tshaka Mayanja, the organizer of the concert.
Ginuwine performed in Uganda for the first time last evening, Saturday 1 December at the Johnnie Walker sponsored Soul Safari concert at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
