Eastern Regional League outfit Gadaffi Football Club has officially unveiled five players ahead of their much anticipated promotional playoff duel against Admin FC.
Goalkeeper Didi Muhammad, Lawrence Kasadha, striker Patrick Gonahasa, Steven Munguchi, and Godwin Kawaga are the five new signings unveiled on Friday.
Didi Muhammad joins Gadaffi FC from Nairobi Stima (Kenyan Premier League). He also previously had stints at BUL FC, Busoga United, Soana FC and Sadolin Paints.
Defender Kasadha formerly played for Sports Club Villa and KCCA FC while the duo of Gonahasa and Munguchi join from Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club.
Besides URA FC, Gonahasa had featured for Nyamityobora FC and Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF FC).
Munguchi joins the Regional side on loan from URA while his teammate Najib Fesali turned down a loan deal to join the same team orchestrating a possible move to Busoga United.
The new additions come a day after the club appointed Paul Mukembo as their new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the next three years.
Gadaffi FC will face off with Admin FC in the promotional play offs to decide the champions of the Eastern Region.
The winner will go on to play against the champions of the North Eastern Region to determine the team that will progress to next season’s FUFA Big League.
