FWEL: Western United Stun She Corporate to Register First Win

Western United earned their win this season after staging a resilient performance to edge She Corporate.

After going five games without testing victory, the Sheema based side finally got maximum points as the first round wounded up.

In the game played at Kabwohe playground, Western United picked a hard-fought 2-1 win over visitors She Corporate.

Halima Alishe and Sawuyah “Santa” Babirye got the all-important goals for the hosts. Aisha Namubiru pulled one back for the visitors.

The result meant Western United moved to three points but remained bottom of Victoria group while She Corporate ended the first round on six points.

In Soroti, Isra Academy recovered from last week’s 4-0 loss to UCU Lady Cardinals to edge past Eastern Heroes.

Fauziah Najjemba scored the lone goal to help Isra Academy move to nine points in Elizabeth group.
