Kawempe Muslim 3-0 She Corporates
Kawempe Muslim Ladies Football Club condemned She Corporate to their first defeat this season with a dominant display in the game played on Sunday.
The League champions did not find any challenge in dispatching She Corporate defeating them 3-0 at the Valley grounds. This was the first time that the Sharks were conceding this season.
Juliet Nalukenge scored twice while second half substitute Brenda Nakayenga netted the other goal to guide the Warriors to victory.
Nalukenge who took her goal tally to four and currently the league top scorer opened the scores in the 10th minute when she lashed to meet a ground cross from Samalie Nakachwa before slotting the ball past goalkeeper Vanessa Karungi.
This seemed to have given the home side momentum as they kept dominating possession.
Midway through the second stanza, Nalukenge doubled the lead for Kawempe capitalising on a defence lapse by defender Swabra Nkoba who failed to clear the ball out of danger and the lethal striker was quick to lobe the ball over onrushing goalkeeper.
Nakayenga who had replaced Asia Nakibuuka put the icing on the cake a few minutes after coming on scoring the third goal to put the game to bed.
Victory meant, Kawempe Muslim moved top of Victoria group on ten points in four games while She Corporate remained on five points.
In the same group, Muteesa I Royal University were stunned by Rines WFC with the latter winning the game 2-1 to register their first win this season.
Winger Jackie Nassali netted a brace for the Wakiso based side while Muteesa got their consolation through midfielder Habiba Nakayobyo.
At Buddo SS, visitors Lady Doves nicked a hard fought 1-0 win against Ajax Queens. The lone goal of the game came from Kenyan forward Lilian Zeddy Veronica which meant the Oliver Mbekeka coached side also picked their first win after drawing the first three games.
Asubo Gafford Ladies secured a 2-1 win against new comers Dynamic Jjeza SS in the game played at Makerere University main pitch.
Skipper Shamira Mutiibwa and midfielder Sheebah Zalwango scored a goal apiece for Gafford while Zam Nakayiga got the consolation for the visitors.
In Elizabeth group, Uganda Martyrs High School defeated Kampala Queens 3-2 in a thrilling encounter.
Resty Nanziri gave Kampala Queens an early lead scoring against her former team but the school side crawled back through Rashida Nankya’s brace before defender Gloria Namugerwa netted the winner. The other goal for Kampala Queens was scored by veteran player Annet Nakimbugwe.
Olila High School defeated Isra Academy 2-0 in the game played in Soroti with Siporosa Amoding and Susan Atim scoring while She MAK held UCU Lady Cardinals to a goalless draw in Mukono.
