Futsal League: Kabowa Derby Ends In Entertaining Draw

Despite being the better team this season, Yeak Kabowa couldn’t get past their rivals Kabowa United in the Futsal Super League game played on Thursday.

The derby ended all square, in an entertaining six goal thriller. The game highlighted match day 10.

Magembe Ema, Bakka Robert and Avemah Shafic scored a goal each for Yeak Kabowa, to cancel out Mahad Mugerwa’s hat-trick as both sides registered their second draw this season.

Yeak Kabowa, fourth on the log, have so far collected 17 points from eight league games. They have won five and lost twice.

The point means that Kabowa United are second from the bottom. They have earned five points from a possible 27 point tally. They have won once and lost on six occasions.

Next for Yeak Kabowa is a game against eighth placed Bajim FC but Kabowa United will not be in action on match day eleven.

Mengo City put seven unanswered past Elephants, Mawanda Allan and Emma Ssempijja with braces as the side registered their third win of the campaign.

Parakeets won 3-1 past Bajim. Baker Byaruhanga and a double for Musa Ssenoga ensured that Parakeets keep in touch with the table leaders. Parekeets are third on the log with 19 points.

Ivan Kukumba’s brace wasn’t enough as Typhoon fell to Dream FC. Karisa Jamil (2), Jamal Muyingo and Ali Kiseka Ssentogo were on target.

Crown and Park played to a two all draw in a first Vs second tie. Park remain just one point above second placed Crown FC after nine games.

Yap Stars moved from bottom with a shock 3-1 win over Equator – Isra Mangeni scored three goals for the Stars.
