The FUFA Women Elite League resumes after about three weeks of no action due to national team(Crested Cranes) engagements in the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifiers.

At the time of resumption, the league is in its final bend and teams are fighting hard to make sure they seal their slots in the championship playoffs.

Key among the fixtures on Saturday will be a top of the table clash in Victoria group between Kawempe Muslim and Ajax Queens.

Kawempe who host the mouth watering clash at the Valley ground already confirmed their place in the playoffs for a record 4th time however they will need just a point against visiting Ajax Queens whom they defeated 2-0 in the first leg to seal the top position.

Ajax Queens are second on the log with 18 points five behind Kawempe but need at least a point in the game to brighten their chances and fend off immediate rivals Gafford Ladies who are third on 14 points but with a game in hand.

Gafford will be at home in Kanyanya to She Corporate and victory will bring them within breathing space with Ajax Queens as they seek to return to playoffs for the second time. Their maiden appearance came during the 2015/16 season.

The other fixture in Victoria group is a dead rubber encounter between bottom placed Western United who have just three points taking on Muteesa I Royal University slightly above their opponents with seven points.
