The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has announced new dates for the 2020/21 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season kick-off.
FUFA had initially set 17th October as the tentative kick-off date for next season before the league start was pushed further by a month.
During the weekly press conference held on Wednesday at the FUFA House in Mengo, it was revealed that the 2020/2021 Uganda Premier League season will kick-off on the 20th of November.
“Kick off of the 2020/2021 season is postponed from Saturday October 17 to Friday November 20, 2020,” read part of the circular.
Additionally, the Federation confirmed that the player registration period that was initially scheduled to end on 21st September, has also been extended
“The Players registration period is extended by 4 weeks to 19th October 2020,” FUFA confirmed.
Vipers Sports Club are the defending Champions having finished top of the table with 58 points by the time the season was cut short due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
