The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has postponed URA’s home match against Wakiso Giants and SC Villa’s tie with Mbarara City.
The proposed new date for the Round of 16 ties is however yet to be communicated by the governing body.
The development is in a bid to allow the players called up for international duty join the Uganda Cranes training camp and extensively prepare for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament due to take place in April.
URA had been previously scheduled to host Wakiso Giants on Tuesday 10th while Sports Club Villa had a match at Namboole against Mbarara the day after.
URA FC has the highest number of players (Seven) in Saidi Kyeyune, Cromwell Rwothomio, Nafian Alionzi, Shafik Kagimu, Ashiraf Mandela, Patrick Mbowa and Joachim Ojera.
SC Villa has three players in goalkeeper Saidi Keni, Derrick Ndahiro and David Owori on the CHAN provisional squad.
Both Mbarara City and Wakiso Giants have two players each, in the names of Ibrahim Orit and Brian Aheebwa for the Mbarara side, and Vianne Sekajugo and Hassan Senyonjo for the Wakiso Giants.
The rest of the remaining six fixtures remain unchanged.
