Fufa Drum: Buganda beef up squad with UPL net-busters ahead of epic opener

Buganda Province’s head coach Alex Isabirye has added six new faces to his squad that won last year’s edition as he prepares to face Lang’o in a much-hyped Fufa Drum opener in Mukono on Saturday.

The new additions include Uganda Premier League’s attacking duo of Bashir Mutanda and Juma Balinya. The two currently lead the league scorers chart with 13 and 14 goals respectively.

Coach Isabirye has also called up Vipers SC and Uganda Cranes central defender, Halid Lwaliwa.

The others are Dennis Lubowa (Kyetume FC), Ivan Serubiri (Free Stars FC) and Rahumatah Kagimu (Seeta United FC).

Buganda start their defence with Lango at the Bishop SS grounds in Mukono.
