Proline FC showed their intent of returning to the Uganda Premier League extending their brilliant start with a comprehensive victory against Dove FC.

In what was a one sided encounter, Proline FC outwitted new comers Dove FC 5-1 to go top of Rwenzori group on ten points in four games.

Shafik Bisaso’s charges dominated proceedings right from onset and there was clearly one winner on the day.

After numerous attempts in the opening stages of the game, it was defender Mustafa Mujjuzi who opened the scores two minutes after the hour mark heading home Ibrahim Obonyo’s delivery from a corner kick.

It was for the visitors in the second stanza who felt uncomfortable playing on the artificial turf and shipped in four more goals.

Just upon resumption, James Begesa doubled Proline’s lead from the spot after a foul on Joseph Mandela in the box.

Ivan Bogere scored the third before youngster Bright Anukani added two more goals including a team goal that involved a quick exchange of passes before he rounded off the goalkeeper to slot into an empty net.

Bisaso was pleased with the performance of Hus team indicating it is important for the team to score manygoals.

” I’m happy for the performance we put up today but most importantly that the team is scoring goals. I believe this good start can help us achieve our target of returning to top flight football.

His counterpart Mark Twinamasako conceded Proline FC were the better side and stated that his players failed to play well on the artificial turf.

” I think they were the better team on the day and deserved all three points. They have a good team that can beat any other team in the league. My players failed to acclimatize to the playing surface and that’s where the challenges began.”
