Fresh Kid’s Dad Clears Air on Competing with Son

Mutabazi Paul aka Fresh Daddy, the father of Uganda’s most successful youngest artist Fresh Kid on Thursday June 4, was the subject of social media controversy after news emerged that he is joining the music industry under the moniker Fresh Daddy.

He is currently in studio working on his debut single titled ‘Mazike’. The song is being produced by singer Aganaga at his studio.

However, fans online did not warm up to the idea of this new venture with several accusing him of trying to compete and sabotaging his son’s music career.

But Fresh Daddy says this is far from the truth. Telling critics that he is only doing it for fun. He also defended himself saying there are lots successful singers in his age bracket who are in the music industry.

“I am just doing music for fun not competing with my son but if fans love it, I will be happy to carry it on as a profession. I am optimistic and see a bright future ahead,” said Fresh Daddy.

Reacting to the news, Fresh Kid’s manager Francis Kamoga was far from impressed and categorically denied having anything to do with Fresh Daddy’s music career.

He adds that, he will neither be managing nor supporting his music because it will negatively affect Fresh Kid’s brand.
