Free Entrance For Diouf, Kenzo Vs FUFA President Select Match

It’s no longer a rumour that former Liverpool FC and Senegal forward El Hadji Ousseynou Diouf will be coming to Uganda.

The two time African Footballer of the year will land in the country this Thursday, January 3rd, we can confirm.

Diouf will take part in a charity game on Friday before attending Eddie Kenzo’s ‘Ten Years of Eddy Kenzo’ concert later in the evening at Serena Hotel in Kampala.

The match, will see Diouf play along side Eddy Kenzo up against FUFA President’s select team in a game that fans will watch free of charge at StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo.

“This is intended to give back to Kenzo’s fans who have supported him in this past ten years music journey especially those who will not afford to watch the show at Serena late in the evening,” veteran Sports Journalist Fred Katende Malibu explained to this website, on why the game will be free of charge.

The match with which FUFA ,Wakiso Giants and Big Talent soccer academy are parterners, will kickoff at 10 AM.

It was revealed that Wakiso Giants Coach Ibrahim Kirya will be in charge of Kenzo’s team, and key players like David Obua, Tony Mawejje, Kizito Luwaga, Khalid Aucho, Allan Kyambadde, Farouk Miya and some players from Wakiso Giants will play.

FUFA President select team will ne captained by the head himself, Eng Moses Magogo and will have stars like Fred Tamale, Hakim Magumba, Hassan Mubiru, Alex Isabirye Edger Watson, Paul Mutakabala.

The Senegalese Football Icon started his professional football career in France with Sochaux, Rennes and Lens before joining Premier League side Liverpool prior to the 2002 FIFA World Cup for Senegal and went on to have a memorable tournament where the African side reached the quarter finals.

He also played for Bolton Wanderers, Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers, Rangers, Doncaster Rovers and Leeds United.
